No concerns over 2021 seat, says Russell, amid Perez rumours

George Russell says he has “no concerns” over his position on the 2021 Formula 1 grid with Williams amid speculation linking Sergio Perez to the team. Mercedes-backed Russell joined Williams on a multi-year deal in 2019 and in July it was confirmed his option for 2021 had been activated by the team. Williams was then sold by the family to the US-based firm Dorilton Capital in August. At that stage Sergio Perez’s future was with Racing Point, having penned a three-year deal in 2019, but the team opted to sign Sebastian Vettel for 2021 at the Mexican’s expense.
