Schumacher, Ilott see value despite delayed FP1 debut

Mick Schumacher and Callum Ilott say they have still been able to gain valuable experience in Formula 1 in spite of Friday’s track action being abandoned. Schumacher and Ilott, who both have prior running in Formula 1 machinery, were due to make their grand prix weekend debuts at the Nurburgring with Alfa Romeo and Haas respectively. But persistent inclement weather prevented the medical helicopter from being able to fly and as a consequence no track action took place.
