Ticketshop down caused by huge run on Nürburgring tickets
Tickets for the Eifel Grand Prix at the Nürburgring went on sale today. This is the first round of 5,000 tickets. The influx of fans in the ticketshop was so great that the website was overloaded. There are few races where the public can attend this year, and if possible the demand for tickets is enormous. For the Eifel Grand Prix a total of 20,000 tickets will be available to the public. The first 5,000 tickets were sold out in two hours. The servers even collapsed under the enormous crowds.
