Alonso ‘a brand in himself', says Renault boss
Fernando Alonso has been described as “a brand in himself” by Renault’s CEO ahead of his return to Formula 1 next year. The two-time former World Champion will be spearheading a rebranded team – Renault are changing their name to Alpine, the racing and sports car manufacturer which they bought in the 1970s and was relaunched in 2017. They are expected to switch from the current yellow and black livery to one that heavily features blue, the colour most associated with Alpine. 🔵 Alpine F1 Team enters Formula 1 🔵 Starting from the 2021 season, Groupe Renault’s team becomes Alpine F1 Team, equipped with a Renault E-TECH hybrid engine.
