‘No better driver' than Vettel for new project – Szafnauer
Racing Point boss Otmar Szafnauer says he “can’t think of a better driver” than Sebastian Vettel to front its Aston Martin project from the 2021 season. Racing Point confirmed on Thursday that Vettel will join the team on a multi-year deal from 2021, ending months of speculation over its driver line-up. The squad, which has been through various guises, currently operates under the Racing Point name, following its acquisition in mid-2018 by businessman Lawrence Stroll. It will enter 2021 under the Aston Martin name following Stroll’s purchase of the famous car company earlier this year.
