Ocon gets new engine from Renault to bridge gap to Ricciardo
Esteban Ocon has been struggling in the Renault since the beginning of the season. The gap to teammate Daniel Ricciardo is still very big, but Renault is going to help him now. The Frenchman will get a new engine and gearbox. Ocon gets a new engine The difference between Ocon and Ricciardo is almost three tenths on average this season and therefore Ocon is not as bad as some other second drivers. However, Ocon has lost five times in qualifying to Ricciardo and is also behind in the standings. From the Belgian Grand Prix onwards, however, Ocon will benefit from a new engine and gearbox.
