Honda explains gap to Mercedes: "Difference in development after shutdown"

Honda seemed to be on par with Mercedes in terms of engine power at the end of 2019. In the first few races of 2020, however, the Mercedes was again clearly faster. Could that be due to the corona crisis and that engine manufacturers and teams have been affected differently. Masamitsu Motohashi, chief engineer of Honda's F1 project, tells Auto Sport Web that teams and engine manufacturers had no advantage or disadvantage over each other during the shutdown.
