No Grand Prix at Hockenheim this year
For quite some time Hockenheim was on the sidelines ready to jump in as an optional circuit to organize a Formula 1 race in 2020. Yesterday the message appeared that not Hockenheim, but the Nürburgring will return on the calendar this year. This has not yet been confirmed, but it is certain that there will be no race at Hockenheim. Definitely no race Circuit director Jorn Teske tells DPA that there will definitely not be a Grand Prix on the German circuit. The condition was that this race would be held in public, but the regulations of the municipality of Baden-Wurttemberg do not allow this and therefore the race is off the track.
