Racing Point: Renault protest misconceived and poorly informed
Racing Point has described Renault's decision to submit a protest against its car following the Styrian Grand Prix as 'misconceived and poorly informed'. Renault's Daniel Ricciardo finished behind both Racing Point's during the second round of the 2020 Formula 1 season having started ahead of them on the grid, and after the race the Enstone team filed the protest over their rival's brake ducts, which they contest originate from a Mercedes design. However, the Silverstone team were unimpressed with the attempts of Renault, claiming to be extremely disappointed with the decision.
