Zanardi condition remains serious after third operation
Former Formula 1 driver Alex Zanardi has undergone a third operation as the Italian continues his recovery from a hand-cycling accident. On June 19, Zanardi was involved in a serious accident while competing in a national Paralympic hand-cycling race, resulting in two neurosurgeries. Article continues under video The 53-year-old Italian was again operated on Monday [July 6] in a surgery "aimed at cranio-facial reconstruction and stabilisation of the areas affected by the trauma".
