Sky Deutschland agree 'exclusive rights deal' with Formula 1

Sky Deutschland secure a 'long term' deal for exclusive Formula 1 broadcast rights. The announcement comes just a day after free to air broadcaster RTL confirmed it would not be extending a 30-year relationship with Formula 1. Article continues under video As pat of the deal, Sky Deutschland will create a Sky Sports F1 channel, much the same as currently exists in the UK, with 24/7 dedicated Formula 1 programming. Every session from the weekend will be broadcast live, as will press conferences, with over 800 hours of programming a year.
