Binotto: Sainz can be world champion

Carlos Sainz will be able to contend for a championship at Ferrari even with the team committed to its future with Charles Leclerc, says Mattia Binotto. The arrival of Sainz, who will be joining the team from the 2021 Formula 1 season as a replacement for Sebastian Vettel, has been speculated to be a sign of Ferrari's commitment to Leclerc as its lead driver for the foreseeable future. And while Binotto expects the Spaniard will need some time to get acclimated to life at Maranello, he does not rule-out the possibility of him entering the title race at some point.
