Alonso beats Button in Indy500 thriller

Fernando Alonso saw off Jenson Button in The Race Legends Trophy at Indianapolis by the narrowest of margins. After recently making his Esports debut, Alonso was back at it and saw off the challenge of fellow ex-F1 driver and World Champion Button during the Indianapolis heat of the Legends Trophy. The pair were dominant around the Indy Oval, trading positions continuously before Alonso took the win by a matter of meters. Alonso and Button quickly broke away from the pack after Dario Franchitti crashed out. From there the pair swapped positions several times in their battle for the lead.
