Brown: 'Ricciardo always McLaren's first choice
McLaren Formula 1 CEO Zak Brown has said that new recruit Daniel Ricciardo had been on the team's radar for some time. Ricciardo joined Renault ahead of the 2019 season, the Australian taking the seat of Carlos Sainz on that occasion also. Speaking on the Sky Sports F1 Vodcast, Brown revealed that the team have 'stayed close' to the driver ever since his Red Bull departure.
