Ferrari set to announce Sainz as Vettel replacement

Carlos Sainz is expected to soon be confirmed as Sebastian Vettel's replacement at Ferrari, GPFans has learned. Vettel and Ferrari are to part ways at the end of this year, ending what will have been a six-season association. Article continues under video While Vettel has stated he is to consider his options for the future, Ferrari is wasting no time in bringing in his replacement, with McLaren driver Sainz set to partner Charles Leclerc at the Scuderia for 2021. Ferrari is opting for Sainz over Renault's Daniel Ricciardo, who is poised to replace Sainz at McLaren, and another of their Driver Academy products in Alfa Romeo's Antonio Giovinazzi.
