Sainz becomes seventh F1 regular to join Virtual GP

Carlos Sainz Jr. will compete at this weekend’s Virtual Chinese Grand Prix, becoming the seventh current Formula 1 driver to take part in the event. Formula 1 has organised virtual grands prix to replace events that have been postponed or cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic. Two – Lando Norris and Nicholas Latifi – participated in the opening encounter, while they were joined by Charles Leclerc, Alexander Albon, George Russell and Antonio Giovinazzi for the second round. All six were confirmed for the upcoming event on Sunday and now McLaren’s Sainz Jr. has been announced as an entrant.
