Renault the latest team to furlough personnel

Renault become the latest Formula 1 team to furlough the majority of their workforce. In a statement released late on Friday afternoon by Renault, it was announced that team personnel in Viry-Châtillon would be placed on 'a part-time schedule from April 6th for a provisional period of 12 weeks'. Article continues under video For those working at the Enstone base in the UK, Renault have elected to retropectively apply for the government job retention scheme. "As of April 1st, the vast majority of Enstone staff will effectively have a total shutdown (furlough) until May 31st," confirmed the statement.
