Bottas leads Mercedes 1-2 to end first test

Mercedes' Valtteri Bottas set the fastest time seen in testing so far to lead Lewis Hamilton on the final day of the first test. Valtteri Bottas has finished the first pre-season test of 2020 as the fastest driver. The Mercedes man used the C5 compound tyres during the morning session to clock a 1:15.732 – the fastest time seen during the week overall as well as half a second clear of the fastest time seen in 2019 testing. Bottas did a total of 65 laps during the afternoon. Lewis Hamilton was in P2 at the end of the day, despite having only driven in the afternoon session. Hamilton used the same C5 compound to go 0.7 seconds down on Bottas, but lost most of that time in the final...
