Pirelli confirms compounds for opening 2020 grands prix

Formula 1 tyre supplier Pirelli has confirmed the compounds that it will bring to the opening four grands prix of the 2020 season. It was revealed on Tuesday that the tyre company’s 2020 specification of rubber has been unanimously rejected by teams, meaning the 2019 tyres will be used through next year. Shortly afterwards Pirelli confirmed the compounds for the first four rounds, due to the 14-week deadline in determining the available tyres at flyaway races. The C2s, C3s and C4s will be taken to events in Australia, Bahrain, Vietnam and China.
