Michael Masi says he has 'enjoyed' race director role

Michael Masi says he has enjoyed his role as race director in 2019, a role he was not expecting this time last year. Masi was thrust into the role at the last minute at the opening race in Melbourne following the sad and sudden passing of Charlie Whiting. Masi has taken on the tough role of filling in Whiting's place, and he's done it pretty well overall, finding a good balance between tough racing and penalties following a few early tough decisions.
