F1 unveils plans for net-zero carbon footprint by 2030
Formula 1 has unveiled its “ambitious” strategy to ensure that it has a net-zero carbon footprint by the end of the next decade, as part of a wider proposal to make the sport eco-friendlier. Environmental issues, and their impact on the world, have become a wider social discussion in recent years, with World Champion Lewis Hamilton having voiced his concerns earlier this season. The initiative, launched today (Tuesday) will cover Formula 1 cars, on-track activities, and the rest of the sport’s operations.
