Toyota confirms Alonso onslaught on 2021 Dakar

Toyota has confirmed that Fernando Alonso will be spending the start of the new year navigating the dunes and sandy trails of the 2021 Dakar rally raid in Saudi Arabia. The two-time F1 world champion will take part in the legendary event that will take place from January 5 to 17, onboard a Toyota Gazoo Racing Hilux 4x4 with Marc Coma as his navigator. Toyota's four-car strong works team which was unveiled on Thursday in Tarragona will also include defending champion Nasser Al-Attiyah, Giniel de Villiers and Bernhard ten Brinke.
