Andreas Seidl against Sunday’s holding qualifying and race
McLaren team principal Andreas Seidl has that he “wouldn’t be in favour” of the idea of Sunday’s at a Grand Prix consisting of both qualifying and the race as changing parts would become a big issue. Bad weather hit the Japanese Grand Prix courtesy of Typhoon Hagibis, which left practice to only take place on Friday, skipping any action on Saturday and qualifying and race taking place on Sunday. Robert Kubica and Kevin Magnussen crashed out during the qualifying session, leading their mechanics to race to repair the cars before the lights went out, something Seidl feels would cause too much of an issue if it were the case throughout the year. “I...
