Hamilton urges Mercedes to increase power for 2020

Lewis Hamilton says the engine department at Mercedes hasn't been quite as successful as other departments in terms of progress this year. Mercedes are ending 2019 seemingly with a little bit of a disadvantage to Ferrari in terms of outright engine power – an area Mercedes have been the leaders of the pack in for almost the entirety of the hybrid era. Straightline speed advantage means that Ferrari are proving exceptionally fast at circuits like Spa and Monza, while also being difficult to overtake as Hamilton proved at Suzuka in the closing stages when he wasn't able to clear Sebastian Vettel despite fresher tyres than the German driver.
