Magnussen follows Kubica into the wall in Japanese GP qualifying

Kevin Magnussen was the second diver to crash in Q1 at the Japanese Grand Prix, following Robert Kubica into the wall at the start of the pit straight. The Haas driver seemed to be caught out by a gust of wind coming out of the final chicane and went into the barriers backwards, before spinning and wiping off his front wing. Article continues under video Kubica had crashed a few moments earlier, with Magnussen's crash leaving just seven drivers with timed laps on the board and 11 minutes of the session remaining. Unlike Kubica, Magnussen was able to get his car started again and trundled back around Suzuka to the pits in an attempt to give Haas as much time as possible to turn his car...
