Kubica crashes in Suzuka qualifying, race in doubt
Robert Kubica crashed almost immediately at the start of Japanese Grand Prix qualifying, which could rule him out of Sunday's race. With qualifying being held just four hours before te grand prix, Williams face a huge test to rebuild Kubica's ca in time. Article continues under video The Pole dipped a wheel on the grass when coming onto the pit lane. and hit the barriers hard, causing significant damage to the left side of his FW42. "I'm OK but it's a fucking joke," he reported over team radio. Kubica was retired in Sochi last time out as Williams had concerns over spare parts, potentially putting the driver's hopes of racing at further risk.
