Kubica to start Russian GP at the back

Williams' Robert Kubica will start the Russian GP from the back of the grid after taking a new engine and components. The Polish driver will join Daniil Kvyat at the back after it was announced he would take the updated Mercedes power unit, making it his fourth of the season. As well as the penalty for the new engine, a new turbocharger and MGU-H has been fitted to Kubica's FW42, earning him a ‘back of grid' penalty from the FIA. Kubica's team-mate George Russell has also taken the new Mercedes PU in Russia but will not be penalised. All four Honda-powered cars are carrying engine penalties this weekend.
