Honda takes Sochi penalties, Daniil Kvyat to start at back
All Red Bull and Toro Rosso drivers will take grid penalties at this weekend’s Formula 1 Russian Grand Prix. Honda has elected to take the hit of a penalty at the Sochi Autodrom in order to maximise its chances for its upcoming home event at Suzuka. All four drivers – Max Verstappen, Alexander Albon, Pierre Gasly and Daniil Kvyat – will take a new Spec 4 Internal Combustion Engine. Due to his different replacement history all of the elements except for the battery will be changed inside Kvyat’s Toro Rosso. This means he will start his home grand prix from the rear of the 20-car grid. In just taking a new ICE Verstappen, Gasly and Albon will receive five-place grid...
