Pirelli test 18-inch and 2020 tyres with Ocon and Sirotkin
Sergey Sirotkin and Esteban Ocon completed two days of Pirelli tyre-testing at Paul Ricard ahead with the Russian in the cockpit of a special 2018 test car supplied by Renault. Ocon, Renault's driver next year, was on duty in a Mercedes as part of the development programme of the current 13-inch tyre that will be used next season for a final time in the top flight. Looking back on the test, Pirelli F1 boss, Mario Isola reported, 'We were delighted to open up a brand new chapter at Paul Ricard, with the debut for our 18-inch tyres – which will change the face of Formula 1 – taking place alongside our latest development test for next year’s 13-inch tyres.
