Leclerc on Belgian pole ahead of Vettel

Charles Leclerc secured a sensational Belgian GP pole position as he left his rivals trailing in qualifying, heading a Ferrari front-row lockout at Spa. Leclerc comfortably out-paced Sebastian Vettel and Lewis Hamilton with a 1:42.519, seven-tenths of a second faster than the multi world champions. "What a lovely flowing lap that was," said Sky F1's Martin Brundle. "He didn't leave anything on the table." Vettel complained that his final Q3 laps were a "mess" but, crucially, he did manage to beat Hamilton to second place by 0.015s to seal Ferrari's first front-row lockout since round two of the season in Bahrain.
