Mercedes confirms repairs for Hamilton's car after Spa crash

Mercedes has confirmed it will complete extensive repairs to Lewis Hamilton's car following his crash in final practice for the Belgian Grand Prix, but expects to complete them in time for qualifying. Hamilton crashed out at Les Fagnes midway through FP3 at Spa on Saturday afternoon, hitting the barrier nose-first to leave the front of his car with a large amount of damage. Hamilton was unhurt in the crash, returning to the garage before debriefing with his engineers as the team assessed the damage that it had to complete in time for qualifying. A Mercedes spokesperson said: "We will be replacing both front corners (suspension and wheel assemblies), nose, barge boards and floor....
