BREAKING NEWS: Mexican GP contract extension agreed

The future of Formula 1 in Mexico is set to be secured on Thursday after Claudia Sheinbaum, the Mayor of Mexico City, announced that a new contract will be signed. F1 returned to Mexico in 2015 and became one of the most vibrant races on the calendar, but it’s contract, along with the Spanish, British, German and Italian were set to end this year. Withdrawal of public funding left the future of the race in doubt despite attracting a vast number of fans over the years. Sheinbaum, confirmed the news in a video on Twitter, saying: "I want to share some good news that I just received.
