Max Verstappen qualifies on pole in Hungary!
Max Verstappen has taken pole position for the Hungarian Grand Prix beating out both Mercedes for his maiden Formula 1 pole. Q1 The big news from Q1 once again came from the Ferrari garage as Charles Leclerc lost control of his car going into the final corner, smashing his rear wing into the barrier bringing a premature end to his Q1. The Monegasque had managed to set a fast enough time to get out of Q1 and his team faced a race against time to replace the damage. George Russell came close to getting out of Q1 for the first time but was ultimately pipped to it despite out qualifying: Sergio Perez, Daniel Ricciardo, Lance Stroll and, Robert Kubica, his teammate by over one second.
