Bottas: German GP won't decide Mercedes future

Valtteri Bottas insists that 'one mistake' at the German Grand Prix will not seal his fate with the Silver Arrows. The Finn's contract expires at the end of this season and it looks to be a straight decision between him or reserve driver Esteban Ocon which Mercedes will take in the coming weeks. Bottas didn't help his cause much after crashing out of the German Grand Prix in changeable conditions, but while admitting that the timing of the error was 'not ideal', he also doesn't think 'one mistake' will decide his future with the team. “For sure it was not ideal in terms of that, but it happens,” Bottas is quoted by Motorsport.com. “Unfortunately it was a mistake that happened at the...
