September date set for Alfa Romeo's German GP appeal

Alfa Romeo’s appeal against its penalty at last weekend’s German Grand Prix will not be heard until September. Alfa Romeo finished seventh and eighth at Hockenheim, with Kimi Raikkonen in front of Antonio Giovinazzi, but both drivers were handed a 30-second post-race time penalty. This was in lieu of a 10-second stop-and-go penalty, which was issued for a clutch torque application transgression on the grid. It was determined that incorrect settings allowed a more gradual application of the torque, potentially handing Raikkonen and Giovinazzi an advantage off the line.
