Hamilton will ‘leave out negatives’ from German GP

Formula 1 championship leader Lewis Hamilton is determined to focus on the positives from a disappointing German Grand Prix as he looks to bounce back at this weekend’s Hungarian Grand Prix. Hamilton described Sunday’s German GP as one of his “worst days in the office in a long time” during a mistake-ridden race that saw him finish ninth, only after post-race penalties promoted him into the points. Despite his worst result since retiring from last year’s Austrian Grand Prix and lowest finishing position since taking ninth at the 2017 Mexican Grand Prix, Hamilton was able to extend his advantage at the top of the drivers’ standings to 41 points after Mercedes teammate and...
