FIA dismiss German GP ‘drag strip' criticism
Formula 1 race director Michael Masi sees nothing wrong with the German GP 'drag strip' section despite fierce criticism. A host of drivers including Lewis Hamilton, Nico Hulkenberg and Charles Leclerc all had offs at that part of the circuit, with the latter two seeing their race come to an end after sliding across the slippery surface and into the barriers. Leclerc described it as “unacceptable”; “insanse” was Hulkenberg's choice of word, but Masi won't be taking any action.
