Charles Leclerc heads Ferrari 1-2 in second German Grand Prix session

Charles Leclerc headed a Ferrari 1-2 during second practice for Formula 1’s German Grand Prix at Hockenheim. Leclerc posted a best time of 1:13.449 in exceptionally hot conditions on Friday afternoon – with air temperature peaking at 38˚c – to finish 0.124s clear of team-mate Sebastian Vettel, who had led the way in the first session. Reigning World Champion Lewis Hamilton finished just 0.022s down on perennial title rival Vettel, while fourth-placed Valtteri Bottas was another half second adrift. Max Verstappen finished just two-hundredths of a second behind Bottas though had his race simulation preparation compromised by a mechanical problem with his Red Bull RB15....
