Mercedes cautious with Hungarian GP tyre selection

Mercedes has opted for a conservative approach to its tyre selection for the Hungarian Grand Prix, choosing fewer sets of soft rubber than its rivals. Teams will head to the Hungaroring right after this weekend's German Grand Prix, and Pirelli has revealed the tyre selection for the last race before F1's annual summer break. Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas have each stocked up on eight sets of the red-rimmed compound while the Finn will have four sets of the medium tyre at his disposal against three for his Merc teammate.
