Formula 1 renews Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne through 2025

The Australian Grand Prix will continue to be held in Melbourne through 2025, Formula 1 chiefs have announced. Formula 1 raced in Adelaide between 1985 and 1995 but since 1996 the event has been held around the streets of Albert Park in Melbourne. Melbourne has typically hosted the season-opening event – having been the first stop on the schedule each year bar 2006 and 2010 – and will again kick off the new campaign in 2020.
