Sainz' big bore blast to McLaren's glorious past

Carlos Sainz found himself in unfamiliar territory yesterday when he sampled a car from McLaren's glorious past. The Spaniard was offered an opportunity to rush up the hill at Goodwood in a 1970 McLaren M8D Can-Am beast, and Sainz undoubtedly savoured the moment. Powered by an 8-litre Chevy aluminum engine, the legendary M8D's 700 bhp vocalized its deep groan as Sainz opened it up. But just check out the run, filmed from all angles. And pump up the volume! Serious fever levels. This is epic! 👏 Watch from all angles as @Carlossainz55 takes the awesome McLaren M8D up the @fosgoodwood hill. 👀👌 #McLarenFoS pic.twitter.com/7El90zlco7 — McLaren (@McLarenF1) July 6, 2019
