Perez frustrated with P1 but it was ‘reality of our speed’

Sergio Perez called his eleventh placed finish at the Austrian Grand Prix ‘frustrating’ but admitted that it was the ‘reality of our speed’ for Racing Point. Perez is currently sitting 13th in the drivers standing on 13 points while the team are seventh overall in the constructors championship. Another race of neither drivers scoring points has put them further behind in the midfield competition after Perez was unable to pass Antonio Giovinazzi’s Alfa Romeo and Lance Stroll finished behind both Renaults in 14th. Perez said (quoted by The Checkered Flag): “We gave it everything today, but points were just out of reach. “My start was...
