Valtteri Bottas prefers tracks that penalise errors despite heavy crash

Valtteri Bottas says he prefers Formula 1 circuits that penalise mistakes, in the wake of his hefty crash during practice for the Austrian Grand Prix. Bottas suffered a snap of oversteer through Turn 6 and skated across the gravel before he suffered a heavy front-on impact with the barriers on the outside of the corner. Bottas was uninjured in the accident but it brought his day to a premature end. 'Even though I crashed, I do prefer to be penalised for the mistakes,' he said. 'It makes it more exciting.
