Lowe's leave of absence becomes permanent

Paddy Lowe has officially left Williams, almost four months after taking an extended leave of absence. Lowe joined Williams from Mercedes in 2017, taking on the role of chief technical officer. With that came a seat on the board and shares in the Williams group. Lowe's input was first truly felt on the 2018 car in which the tech boss revealed he had adopted a different philosophy. It didn't work and the finished bottom of the standings. Williams had hoped to recover in 2019 but were on the back foot from the get-go as a delay in the build of the FW42 meant they missed the start of pre-season testing. Lowe bore the brunt and was placed on an extend leave of absence on 5 March. Four months...
