Williams confirm Paddy Lowe has left the team

Austrian Grand Prix – Williams has issued a statement to announce that Paddy Lowe has now fully severed his ties with the team. The British engineer joined Williams in early 2017, having swapped over from Mercedes AMG where he had acted as Executive Director. Responsible for the car designs as Chief Technical Officer, Lowe's first design in 2018 turned out to be uncompetitive but this situation became exacerbated in 2019 when the FW42 was delivered late with numerous problems on the design front.
