Hamilton faces investigation for Verstappen FP2 incident
Lewis Hamilton is under investigation following an incident involving Max Verstappen during second practice for Formula 1’s French Grand Prix. The reigning world champion lost control of his Mercedes at Turn 4 and took out a bollard in a sideways moment, before he rejoined the circuit in front of Red Bull’s Verstappen, who had been on a flying lap. Verstappen was unable to take the ideal line through the next corner and ultimately ran wide, as Hamilton immediately slowed and waved an apologetic hand towards the Dutchman.
