Ricciardo: Bottas battle shows Renault belong at the top

Daniel Ricciardo felt his brief battle with Valtteri Bottas in Canada and a recent upswing in form has helped justify his decision to leave Red Bull for Renault. After qualifying fourth in Montreal, Ricciardo came home sixth, but briefly held up Bottas, despite the Mercedes' strength. Bottas looked set to execute a simple DRS-assisted blast down the back straight, but Ricciardo defended his position hard and the Finn took two more laps to get by on his way to fourth place.
