Hamilton excused from media duties in France

Lewis Hamilton will not partake in media duties ahead of the French Grand Prix, instead he will attend a memorial event for fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld. The Brit was scheduled to appear in the Thursday driver press conference, but Mercedes have allowed him to travel to Le Castellet later so he can attend the memorial event dedicated to the fashion designer in Paris. Hamilton has become increasingly involved with fashion over the past few years – he has recently launched clothing lines with Tommy Hilfiger. Lagerfeld passed away in February aged 85, but major fashion rivals Fendi and Chanel have come together to create the tribute event for him in the French capital. Pharrell...
