FIA's Matteo Bonciani leaves communications post after eight years

French Grand Prix – The FIA's media delegate Matteo Bonciani has stepped down from his role after eight years. Bonciani is a familiar face for long-time Formula 1 fans, as the man who met the drivers in parc ferme after qualifying and each race in order to bring them to fulfill their media duties. He would also have been the person responsible for addressing the media for official statements on behalf of the FIA. Working from the FIA's headquarters in Paris, Bonciani spent the last eight years in the role of Head of F1 Communications and attended more than 150 consecutive Grands Prix.
