Superlicence points in practice sessions from 2020

From 2020 practice sessions will carry points for drivers to gain their ‘superlicence', according to a report from Autosport. Current rules mean that 40 ‘superlicence points' generated across three seasons are required for a driver to be able to earn their superlicence. The single-seater junior formulas – F2 down to F4 all carry these points, while other major categories such as IndyCar and the World Endurance Championship are also included in the list of series. Participating in free practice sessions on a grand prix weekend will become a new way to earn points from 2020.
